Virtual Fencing After Fire: Does It Work?

Date: October 8, 2024
Time: 9 AM - 1 PM
Location: 2953 South Broadway Street
T or C, NM 87901

Workshop will present findings from collaboration work between Ranchers, USDA, USFS, and NMSU in response to the Black Fire in the Gila National Forest.

Hundreds of miles of fence were destroyed by the fire and the project evaluated the utility of virtual fencing in extreme NM terrain and environment to manage grazing.

The workshop is not an advertisement for virtual fencing. End users will present their perspectives of the pros and cons of the technology in a NM ranching environment.
